6th Day in Brazil - 2009

We woke up worse. My symptoms didn't exactly match those of the flu, more like a sold or allergies. Paige's however, were a fever, coughing, a little bit of sore throat and headaches. Evie didn't feel a thing, my strong baby.

We called and set an appointment for the same day to go to Eduardo Menezes Hospital where they had a Influzenza H1N1 testing room. The exam: 6-inch long swabs they stick in EACH nostril and reach for the bottom of your throat as they spin and twist it and make it feel like your nose is burning inside! Also, there is a swab that goes straight to the back of your throat. Paige made it, I didn't. They were not able to do that one on me. LOL...

Evie was sitting in the waiting room with Edna, both wearing surgical masks. Evie chewing on hers and sucking her thumb through it... sweetness...

Rômulo, a friend from college came to visit tonight. He has similar interests to mine in Instructional Design and is doing his E.D. in the field.
